Hi! My name is Aga Maszota and I’m a Polish illustrator that specialises in creating vibrant and whimsical illustrations, often featuring girls or themes related to nature and fantasy. My portfolio includes a variety of works such as illustrations, posters, book and magazine covers, comics, and coloring books and was published both in Poland and abroad.

Illustration is my language of empathy, warmth, and closeness despite barriers. In my work, I like to capture a sense of nostalgia for a childhood that will never return, an elusive world that each of us carries within, but may no longer have the time to revisit.

My works are colorful (the best medium for emotion!), full of warmth, delicacy, and girlish charm with vibrant characters.I enjoy giving the viewer a smile or a warm hug for the heart on a rainy day. In my illustrations, alongside the main characters, I often include tiny figures—little mice running shops or surfing, small animals, cats, frogs, and other woodland creatures. They allow the viewer—whether adult or child—to notice a hidden world we don’t see at first glance, one that brings a smile and a sense of the mystery surrounding us.

A recurring theme in my work are companion creatures. I focus mainly on characters, especially girls and women, who have often been overlooked as leading adventurers or brave pirates. I believe it is important to show and represent girls of all shapes and appearances in a wide range of situations, and to show that girls are brave and adventurous—but also that they get angry, cry, and can be bold and defiant.
In my private life, I’am a great lover of cats, cooking, and spring.
